does anybody actually go to the council meetings?

So I was poking around the city site and the council agendas for Oct 12 and Oct 26 are up, both at 4 PM in conference room 2C. Planning & Zoning is Nov 18 at 8 in the morning, same room. City agendas and meeting notices here if you want to look.

My honest question is does anyone go?? Because 4 on a Monday and 8 AM on a Wednesday is not exactly built for people who have a job to be at. Maybe thats the point, who knows. I get that its a volunteer board and nobody's getting rich sitting in there, but it seems like the room is mostly empty every time I hear anything about it.

From what I can tell the agendas lately are street paving and the fire dept truck purchase. Anybody been in the room and know what was actually said? Like is the paving list real or is it the same three roads that get talked about every year lol. And the truck, are we buying it, financing it, waiting on it?

Not trying to start a fight, just tired of finding out about stuff after its already done. If you go regularly speak up, I'd like to know how thin it really is.

went once, and I think the room had more chairs than people. 4 PM on a Monday, nice if you don't have a job lol. Never stayed for the paving talk so no idea if it's the same three roads. Worth asking in the thread if anyone's got minutes, I'd read those over sitting in 2C.
