Wanted: used kayak or 2 person canoe, cash, can pick up this weekend

Ok so I have been saying for two years now that I'm gonna get out on Greers Ferry more and every year I just end up sitting on the porch off 330 watching other peoples boats go by. Not this year. Memorial Day is right around the corner and I wanna be ready.

Looking for a used kayak or a two person canoe, either one works. Doesn't have to be fancy or pretty, a few scratches are fine, I just don't want anything leaking or cracked. Paddles and a life jacket or two thrown in would be great but not a dealbreaker. I'd pay cash and can pick up this weekend, either here in the Bay or anywhere within about a half hour (Heber, Clinton, Shirley, thats about my limit). I have a truck so something long isn't a problem, and I've got straps.

If you've got one sitting in the garage or under the deck that hasn't been wet since your kids left for college, now's your chance to clear some space and make a few bucks. I'm not looking to haggle you down to nothing either, just fair.

Also if anybody has a opinion on kayak vs canoe for the coves around here I'd take it. My wife thinks a canoe would be more stable and I think a kayak is easier for one person to load by himself, so we're kind of stuck. Message me on here or just reply under this and I'll get back quick. Thanks neighbors!

Kayak for loading by yourself, no question. A two person canoe is heavy to get up on a truck alone. The wake from the ski boats on weekends can rock either one, so get a sit-on-top if you go kayak, they're steadier than they look.

Watch the yard sales this weekend too, kayaks turn up at those more than you'd think.
