I know it's June and nobody is thinking about a wood stove right now, but that's kind of the point. Wood you buy in the summer has time to sit and dry out a little more before the first cold snap, and you're not fighting everybody else for a delivery slot in October.
I've got seasoned oak, all split, and I'll deliver it and stack it wherever you want it, whether that's along the garage, the side of the house, or back by the shed. I cover Fairfield Bay and out toward Shirley. I'm asking a fair price per cord, nothing crazy, and I'll tell you the number up front so there are no surprises when I pull in.
For folks who just have a stove or an insert and don't need a full cord, I can bring a half load. A lot of people up here only burn on the cold nights and don't want a giant pile sitting in the yard all winter, so that seems to work better for them.
If you've never bought a cord, it's 4 x 4 x 8 stacked tight. A "face cord" or "rick" is a different thing and usually a lot less wood, so if somebody quotes you a price, ask what they mean by it. Happy to answer questions about that or the wood itself.
Send me a message here or reply below if you want a quote or want to get on the list. I'm planning to do deliveries in the evenings and on weekends, mostly in my old truck, so give me a little notice and I'll work around your schedule.
